Tera McHugh
In early 2003, Tera McHugh moved to the Santa Clarita Valley with her husband, John and two boys, Michael (12) and Sean (9). Moving 2200 miles from everyone and everything she knew proved to be more challenging than she had anticipated. It was through this struggle that Tera discovered what she wanted in each area of her life and how to achieve it. Many women began asking her what she had done and how she had created such an amazing life. She then started teaching her proven step-by-step Enjoy Daily Life program to women across the United States, by internet & phone. This program helps women to improve, balance & enjoy each area of daily life!

At this time, Tera wanted to get more involved in her local Santa Clarita community and came to a Mes Amies meeting at the encouragement of Kathleen Fletcher, Volunteer Coordinator for The Betty Ferguson Foundation. Once Tera entered the meeting she knew she had found her family in California! It was Marjanne & Judy that really encouraged her to move forward with developing The Association of Women Entrepreneurs (WE). WE is an organization that empowers women entrepreneurs of the community by connecting them to the education, support & motivation to build a successful business & a balanced life!

Tera was so grateful for the support she received from BFF that she decided she wanted to help BFF in anyway she could. So, in early 2006 a strategic partnership was formed with The Betty Ferguson Foundation and The Association of Women Entrepreneurs to create a monthly seminar event called Lunch & Learn. This event is held on the 1st Thursday of each month at The Betty Ferguson Foundation Center. For a minimum $10 donation to BFF attendees receive a lite lunch and hear from a successful entrepreneur on how she achieved her success, the struggles & challenges she faced along the way and how she handled those challenges and closes with tips from her area of expertise. These seminars have helped BFF gain exposure in the local woman entrepreneur community.

For the past 2 years Tera has been an active member of The Betty Ferguson Foundation Board of Directors. She has taught & facilitated many workshops & seminars for BFF and is actively involved in the coordination of the annual Vine 2 Wine Event. Her passion is helping women & girls connect to the resources & support they need to live the life they dream of living!

Tera has also helped coordinate food drives for the Hunger Defense Fund, toy drives for Toys for Tots and raised money to send students to the COC Entrepreneurs Conference.
