Dear YWAV Girls and Parents:

The 2009 – 2010 session of YWAV is about to begin.  Our annual Open House date has been set…it is Wednesday, October 21, 2009, from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.

This year the theme of our curriculum is “THRIVE - Steps to Daily Growth.”  Our goal for the session is to have the girls begin to see growth in the areas of their relationships with their parents, friends, teachers, community and themselves.

Our facilitators for the coming session are familiar faces… Lynn Oppler, Naomi Kaswan, Amanda Story, Qiana Storal, Corine Ramos and Lori Van Howten, all back by “popular request!”  We are hoping to add to our list, as time goes on.

The meeting schedule for this session will be as follows with all meetings in the third (3rd) week of each month:

The 3rd Wednesday @ 5:00 – 6:30 – 5th & 6th grades
The 3rd Wednesday @ 6:45 – 8:15 – Jr. High
The 3rd Thursday       @ 6:30 – 8:00 – High School

As mentioned in the previous letter, Judy Cox, Co Founder of Betty Ferguson Foundation is our interim Director of YWAV…it is wonderful to have her back on our team and she has much enthusiasm as well as some great ideas for our program.
